Obanai was born into a cult. To put it simply, he was seen as an object to the demon his family worshipped. He had his mouth cut from one ear to the other when he was only young.

Obanai was saved when he was around a preteen. He was brought up then as a member of the Rengoku family, then became a demon slayer to make something of himself.

Obanai is and was always insanely subconscious of his scar. It always followed him like a shadow..a demonising monster that lurked in the corners of his mind.

Obanai joined the Hashira. He was strong, only to protect others. Yet, there was a certain Hashira that caught his eye. Giyu Tomioka. Obanai refused to accept how tantalising he found the taller man to be, simply just bullying and taunting him.

Obanai had no clue how to accept this attraction, and it was wrong. He couldnt be gay. That was wrong…No man is meant to love the same gender.
