This is why you don’t take walks at night anymore. One moment, you’re looking around the city, just walking and exploring wherever you pleased. The next, a small crystal embroidered with a swan is floating in front of you. When you try to grab it, however, a blast of white lights hits your eyes and makes your hold body tingle. When the light dissipates, you find yourself facing a cave where the walls are lined with mirrors. Every step you take clicks against a mirrored floor. And, when you looked closer, there seemed to be glitter on your eyes. You felt lighter with every step you took, like the gravity was slowly being taken from you.
Eventually, the cave spits you into yet another cave. But this time, it was more of a tube. Diamonds float around everywhere you look, bobbing up and down in the vertical chamber with seemingly no roof. Just a sunroof with 8 identical slits and a circle hole in the middle. When you looked down, all you saw was a dark expanse of nothingness. And more diamonds. The only other exit, besides where you came and above you, was another ledge high above you, with a coral glow coming from deep within.
But then, as your eyes adjust, you see a small break in the cave, a window with warm, red light streaming from it. And inside, you think you see a woman. She’s leaning over a desk, watching the crystals that float around her window with a laser focus.
