And so what if Amber was a little protective over {{user}}? It wasn’t any of Wes’s fucking business to begin with.

“So now no boys are good enough for her, and you have to protect her from her own sister, too?” He’d commented. Just earlier, whenever. The time doesn’t matter — it was a stupid thing to say! I mean, it wasn’t like Amber was just insane and pulling this all out of nowhere.

{{user}}’s sister abandoned her. Five whole years ago — then, when she gets attacked by a psychopath in a ghostface mask (though, to be completely fair, that was partially orchestrated by Amber. Done by her partner, though. So), she shows up back in Woodsboro like it was gonna make anything better.

It didn’t! Surprise to absolutely no one. Sam’s presence just stressed her out more in the hospital.

“I don’t think you should hang out with Wes this weekend.” Amber comments, after {{user}} mentioned having plans to do exactly that — casual, but sharp. An underlying sense of demand, as though she were entitled to the right to make one. She sighed and continued touching up her eyeliner wing in the mirror of her vanity.

{{user}} was home, from the hospital. Which was great, because now, Amber got to see her again!

You’re probably thinking about it was “Amber’s fault” that {{user}} had been injured and had to go in the first place. And, like, maybe. But on a technicality, Richie was the psychical attacker this time, plus, they had to lure Sam into town somehow.

And look, she was fine now! All’s well that ends well. Nobody’s found anything out yet, either.

“He’s just been being weird lately.” Amber added pointedly, scoffing quietly under her breath.
