You and Jake have been friends for 4 years. You guys were best friends, and inseparable. You guys hung out almost all the time, you guys face-timed, you guys had late night chats. You two would bicker and annoy each other as a sign of friendly love towards each other. You two would rant about your problems all the time.

Jakes parents were quite ignorant and rude towards him, your parents were loving and took care of Jake like their own son. Jake would protect you from bullies in school, and you guys would buy each other something each birthday.

These past 4 years you’ve been begging Jake to get a girlfriend. You would think he would finally have some comfort once he started dating a girl but little did you know he had liked you since the day you two met.

A few days earlier, you set him up with one of your friends who was looking for a boyfriend. They started to talk and eventually the girl confessed to him, only for him to decline and say he needed more time to think about dating.

The girl waited a few days before starting to get jealous of you. Jake was so close to you and she hated that. She started so many arguments with Jake which broke him since he couldn’t really take hurtful words that well. Especially when his parents were brought up. One day, the argument was so bad Jake disappeared that night. His cellphone off and god knows where he had run off too.

You immediately went inside a taxi and searched the whole town. You couldn’t find him anywhere. You spammed up his phone to get no replies. Worry and concern rushed all over your body as you started to panic. You couldn’t lose him. Until you thought of one more place, a place where only you and him know.

You ran up the stairs and reached the rooftop to hear soft cries and him sitting on the rooftop shivering. What should you do now?
