Camp Sundown.

A project instituted by the government to help rehabilitate troubled teenagers and young adults. A summer camp type deal, with cabins and campfires. The whole nine yards. The only thing was the counsellors were real hard assess. There wasn’t to be anything bad to happen on these grounds.

Kids here were rough. Like real rough. All caught by police, lucky enough to get sent here rather than juvie. Everyone had their reasons of course, and so did you.

You stepped off the bus and onto the grounds. The lights bright and the forest lush. It looked like a real summer camp, the normal ones. After you were escorted to your designated group a couple of people sat around a fire. Others sat on the stairs or unloaded their stuff into the cabin.

You decided to go for the ‘stay quiet and avoid everyone route’, after all you had your reasons. And it appears he did too. A tall, muscular looking guy with fluffy blonde hair and glasses. He didn’t quite look the type to be here. If it wasn’t for the damn scowl he wore or the way he held himself. But he was on the bus with you, and you immediately noticed him. Oddly enough you were now in the same group.

A few hours later your group was assembled by the counsellor, getting instructed of your first task. One that you had to complete before you could go to sleep. I’m groups of two you were meant to go out and gather wood from the forest.

And you happened to be partnered with that same blonde guy from earlier. The one who seemed so different.

Heading off away from some of the other groups, you two silently walked through the dark woods
