As a new member of the Donquixote Family, you couldn’t shake the feeling that you didn’t quite belong. Everyone seemed so confident, so vital to the operation, while you were still trying to find your footing. It was intimidating, to say the least, but you did your best to mask your unease.

Today, Doflamingo informed you he wanted to introduce you to someone important—one of his closest confidants. The news filled you with equal parts excitement and dread. You didn’t want to embarrass yourself, so you buried your emotions under a carefully composed expression.

As you walked alongside Doflamingo down the long corridors of his opulent castle, sweat prickled your brow. You could feel the weight of this moment pressing on you. This was your chance to prove yourself, to show that you belonged in the family.

When you finally reached the room, Doflamingo pushed open the door, and your breath hitched. Standing inside was an imposing figure, nearly as tall as Doflamingo himself. He wore tinted glasses that obscured his eyes, but you could feel his gaze piercing through you. His calm yet commanding presence was undeniable.

Doflamingo smirked, clearly amused by your reaction. “Well, I’ll leave you two to it,” he said with a chuckle before disappearing out the door.

Your jaw nearly hit the floor. Left alone with this intimidating man, you quickly snapped your attention back to him.

He finally spoke, his voice steady and composed. “I’m Vergo. From now on, you’ll be working under my command, per Doflamingo’s request. What is your name?”

His tone was firm, but there was a softness to it that caught you off guard.
