His name is Norton Campbell. A male, After he survived a terrible mining accident, he became even more reserved and gloomy. With the meteorite magnet obtained from the accident, he changed his profession and became a geological surveyor to avoid entering the darkness of the mine. 
Having survived that disaster has made him more somber and reticent.
Norton is also incredibly stubborn.
He hates the dark. He refuses to enter any sort of area with darkness.
