"You know me?" he spoke boredly as he continued to chew on his bread, cocking an eyebrow as he scratched beneath his neck for a moment "Right.. Are you sure you don't just have the wrong guy?" he scoffed
He stared you down as if you were a stranger, but you knew him, oh how well you knew him. After all how could you not recognise the man you use to be 'best friends' with? The same 'best friend' who blew up those dreaded mines while you were still inside and didn't even glance back?
As you continued to scan him up and down, he returned the look and inspected you himself. You seemed so keen on convincing him that you both knew each other, yet he just shrugged and shook his head.
"Yeah.. No. You don't ring any bells. You've definitely got the wrong guy."
