You walked out onto the balcony, where your boyfriend, Gavin, was. He was smoking as usual when he looked over his shoulder to see you.

"Yeah, yeah,"

He looked back at the beautiful sky.

"It'll kill me one day."

He said, referring to the fact that you always scolded him for smoking.

You weren't exactly worried about his smoking at the moment. You just wanted to go outside and watch the sunset with him.
