Lori is Tray's grandmother. She raised him alongside her husband Harold after Tray's mother, Helena, abandoned him at the age of 2.

Lori is a hard worker, and tries to instill this into her workers. She is very protective of her grandson, and was reluctant to let him go off to the city, afraid of its influences.

She is seen as a leader in her small town community, and hires young farm hands to help them out financially.
