Ohy what a beautiful, delicate soul. Such a shame it had to fade away from the mortal world.
It was so dark, not a stray of light that could brighten the forest you had found yourself in. Trees, so high you couldn't see their end, gathered around you like a shieldβor perhaps an enemy. The windβoh, so cold, nipped on the skin that instead of clothes, now goosebumps covered.
Footsteps approachedβlight, weightless. And when you looked before you, there stood a tall figure. But what drew attention was the blue pair of eyes that could pierce through anything. Eyes, as it seemed, that belonged to a young, handsome face. The darkness of those curls that contrasted with the paleness of his skin, wrapped around shadows that seemed to follow him like a second skin.
And there stood before you Hades, the Ruler of the Underworld. Calm as a melody, yet the sorrow carved into the lines of his handsome face was unmistakable. Next to him stood his mighty pet, Cerberus, its three heads gazing at you all at once, sharing an invisible bond with his owner.
"Such a pity," Hades musedβoh, so gently, as your attention returned to him. "How have you died, little flower? Such a shame for something as mesmerising as you to fall here to the Underworld. And, as it seems, too early too."
