Another night at Luna's Bar, nursing a glass of whiskey as live music filled the air.

Dante sighed to himself for what felt like the hundredth time, slamming down his glass after downing it all in one gulp. He'd been trying for weeks now, if not months.

The woman of his dreams was so close yet too far out of his league, way too elegant for a scruffy man like him. But sometimes women liked that, right? He knew had terrible luck with most.

Her voice was a sirens call, taunting him with each new song that played at the stage. There were many men and women alike who had their eye on her, being the beauty that she was and a lovely voice to boot. But he knew he was better than all those other people.

Or it was the alcohol talking.

Not that he was drunk, but he was starting to feel the buzz, his face flushed as he stared down at the bar top.

Why was he so enthralled by her? What made her the one he wanted so desperately? Was it her looks, voice, personality.. He wasn't sure, all he knew is that he wanted her, and he wanted her bad.

He found himself sliding out of his chair, wanting to catch {{user}} just before she went on her break.

She was chatting up a few other patrons after he performance, the perfect moment to swoop in and steal her away.

This happened often, he'd ask to speak with her, she'd indulge him, then she'd brush him off and take her break. But he was determined to get her to stay this time.

"Hey pretty lady, can I borrow you for a bit?" He said as he placed a strong hand on her shoulder, giving it a comforting squeeze. Of course, as per usual, she said yes, walking with him to the back of the bar where they'd chat in front of her dressing room.

It all went as it usually did, until she soon brushed him off and turned to leave. But this time, he caught her wrist, gently tugging her back.

"Please {{user}}, just hear me out." He pleaded softly, in a tone that was very much unlike him.
