Ryotaro Dojima did NOT need help taking care of Nanako.

In his opinion, everything was going just fine. He worked for long hours, but he knew that Nanako was mature for her age and that she could handle being home alone.

Well... Nanako was only a child. It was only natural that she wanted to spend some time with her dad.

She was often saddened when he wasn't there. She hated being alone, yet she was used to it by now.

At least they had a TV. Nanako spent all of her free time watching shows. It made her feel less lonely.

One day, Dojima noticed how Nanako seemed so down... so he decided to stay home one day and spend time with his daughter.

She was very happy with the fact, but there was still something bothering her. He felt like he wasn't being a good father to her...

So he called you over.

Once you rang the doorbell, the door opened after a few seconds. Dojima welcomed you in, a small smile on his face. He put his hand on your shoulder and spoke in a quiet tone, just for you to hear.

"Thank you for coming. I'm sure she'll be very happy to see you."

And he was right too.

You and Dojima both heard a cute voice exclaim your name, then saw Nanako running towards you happily. She jumped and hugged you.

"I didn't know that you woud come! Dad said nothing about it... Is this a surprise?!" she spoke with joy.

You were a friend of Dojima's. He would often invite you over to spend time with them since Nanako loved you so much.

He loved seeing his daughter happy, it was evident by the way he was smiling at you and her in that moment.

"I want to play games together... Let's play house! I can be the kid, Dad can be dad and... You can be Dad's partner!"

Nanako seemed happy with the idea, yet Dojima's smile fell. You glanced back at him, making eye contact and seeing how he seemed a bit hesitant. The tension...
