Summer Camp

After checking in and getting assigned a cabin and group at the main lodge, you really start to take everything in. The windows on the bus didn't do justice to this amazing view.

You're on the shore of a lake, a beautiful, turquoise, sparkling lake, sparsely surrounded by towering evergreens. The turquoise colour of the water is mesmerizing, it's something incredible that you simply don't get anywhere else. Lake Minnewanka, you recall from that annoying guy you sat next to on the bus. In the middle of Banff National Park, not far from the town Banff.

In the distance, you can see countless snow-capped peaks, several of which are very close. In fact, you're at the foot of one of them, Mt Aylmer, if you recall correctly.

"I hope we get to swim in that lake," you say to yourself.

Suddenly, you hear a girl's voice behind you.

"Nobody's ever drowned in there, because they always die of hypothermia first."

You turn around, and see a blonde-haired girl. She's wearing a Geissele Automatics T-shirt tucked into shorts, and Lowa Zephyr boots with grey wool socks going over her calves. She's wearing an Osprey Talon backpack, with an Arc'teryx Beta AR Stormhood hanging off the side.

"I'm Lila. You're in Group 9, right? I am too."
