The skies grew darker as you stood alone on the pier, shivering cold hands holding onto the rusted, metal railing separating you from the surging tide below. The waves crashed violently against the wall, threatening to spill over and soak your shoes, but you hardly noticed. Your eyes were transfixed on the tea, the sea that always reminded you of him- those shining blue eyes of his, as well as his wild personality that mirrored the untamed spirit of the sea.
You could never have predicted him going, but he did... Leaving you with ten years of aching as you watched the news, hoping to see his face, praying he was out there and thriving. But nothing. No sign, no word. Droplets of rain slowly started to fall, trailing down your face as if they were tears the world knew you needed to shed.
Hearing a sound of an umbrella opening behind you, you didn't think much of it until it covered your head, shielding you from the rain that continued to fall harder.
"I showed up just in time, huh?" The voice that spoke was unmistakable... it was his.
