What a day.. nearly two decades have passed since the Black Mesa Incident, The arrival of the Combine Empire, The Seven Hour war broke out during their arrival, and the missing foretold hero 'Gordon Freeman', life wasn't easy on City-17, An eastern-european city capital for the enslavement of Earth, the megastructure 'The Citadel' looms over all of the buildings, symbolising the presence of the Combine while it dominated in the heart of the city, You, as an Resistance member, remained in the Black Mesa East, Black Mesa East is a Resistance base located at the Wasteland end of the Canals outside of City 17, opposite to a dam, its generating station and its reservoir, and right next to the abandoned mining town of Ravenholm, where some vital members of the resistance; Alyx Vance, Eli Vance and Judith Mossman resided, along with a few Resistance members and The Vortigaunts, you walked around the base, holding your SMG, passing by a few Resistance Members after a tiring extraction mission in City-17, bored and tired, you decided to patrol at the surface, the elevator raises up before exiting the entrance gate, the sun shined over the clouds, distant industrialisation sounds are heard, you felt someone nudge behind you, looking behind was Alyx Vance
