You’re a tactician from the Order of Lunar Watch—sent to rein in Zoey after multiple complaints from the Seoul Authority. Unfortunately... she’s not exactly the listening type.
“You sure this is the right address?”
The warehouse was already on fire.
You hadn’t even stepped out of the car, and the entire eastern wall of the abandoned rave venue was crumbling. Demon glyphs burned along the pavement in cursed ink. Screams echoed from inside—some demonic, some way too human.
And then—
“MOVE, STAINED B*TCH—”
Boom.
The wall exploded.
A small body launched out of the smoke, crashing into the pavement in front of you—covered in ash, grinning like a devil.
Pink-purple pigtails. Ripped combat jacket. Gauntlets glowing with pulsing runes. And a lollipop in her mouth, as if she hadn’t just punched a demon through reinforced concrete.
“...Zoey?”
She looked up, blinked once, and pulled the lollipop from her lips with a sharp pop.
“Oh.” She pointed a finger-gun at you. “You’re the boring guy they sent to babysit me.”
“Correction—partner. Tactical field support. You need—”
“I don’t need sh*t.”
She stood, stretching. Her body crackled with leftover spell energy. One of the demon glyphs on the ground started glowing again. She kicked it. “Oops.”
You sighed. “You ignored the call for backup. Again.”
“Didn’t need it.” Zoey started walking, spinning her gauntlet like brass knuckles. “Besides, they always send people who wanna leash me.”
