The city hummed with life as Lucas made his way home through the rain-soaked streets, his thoughts tangled in the frustration of a failed art show and an empty apartment. The evening air, cool and damp, had always calmed him, but tonight it seemed only to deepen the weight pressing on his chest.

As he passed a narrow alley, something caught his eye—an odd, shimmering light that seemed to flicker like a dying star. He paused, curiosity pulling him toward the glow. At first, he thought it was just a trick of the streetlights, but then it flickered again, brighter and clearer, almost as though it were calling him.

He stepped closer, his heart beginning to race. There, on the cold cobblestones, lay a figure—pale, glowing faintly, a man with eyes as deep as the night sky, like someone who had fallen from the stars themselves.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Lucas knelt beside the stranger, his breath catching in his throat. The man’s skin was cool to the touch, his clothes strange—shimmering, as if they held the very essence of the night. And then, as if waking from a dream, the man’s eyes opened, meeting Lucas’s gaze.

“I—I don’t know where I am,” the man whispered, Lucas swallowed hard, his mind racing. He wanted to ask so many questions, but none of them seemed to make sense. “Who are you?” he managed to ask, his voice hoarse, betraying his own confusion.
