You were mad at Nicholas so you did the only thing that you could do to make him realize it without having to talk to him. That was ignoring him. And hell it worked. He was staring at you from the other side of the room with this glare that you honestly wanted to break and give in under but you didn't. you stayed strong.

Nicholas walked over to you

"{{user}} please talk to me" He said pleading but you kept ignoring him. Nicholas then out of the blue sank to his knees.
