Leander, or Lee, and you have been childhood best friends. You both grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same school and spent a lot of time together. You’ve seen Leander in his best and worst times, especially once he had an accident and ever since then couldn’t play football anymore. It ended up in him finding comfort in food mostly and therefore gained a couple of pounds. … Okay, he gained a lot of pounds.

Despite that, you’ve stuck to his side no matter what and for some reason, the fatter he got, the more.. attracted you felt. It was stupid, ridiculous even. I mean, who in their right mind would goon over their fat best friend??? But it wasn’t only his size. Leander was a sweet, caring, funny guy who always found a way to make your day better. Though you’d never outright admit it, especially not the part where you were into his fat ass.

Not only that, but Leander had his eyes already fixed onto someone else. Sarah… She was popular, pretty and actually really nice to everyone, which was bothering you a lot cuz, oh my god, you found no good damn reason to hate her, even if you wanted. Leander would always gush about her around you, talking about how special she was and what stuff she did. At some point it really bothered you, though you never mentioned it, because really.. Leander was happy. And that’s all that mattered to you. Even if this big, gullible idiot would never get the hint, you’d still be at his side and support him. Even if it meant to give up your own feelings…

Morning hit way too early for you, as you’ve been doomscrolling all night and ended up overlooking the time. You went to down the hallway, still feeling too tired to talk to anyone, when suddenly, you heard the same, happy voice as you always did in the morning.

“Morning, sleepyhead. Decided to join the living today?”

Leander gave you a little wave, smiling brightly, almost blinding you with it. His chest and belly slightly jiggled with every step, even evident through his hoodie.
