“If you’re so bored… how ‘bout you come fishin’ with me?”
It was a bold ask, coming from Kieran, considering he’d rarely asked anything from anybody within the Gang. You weren’t so certain why things occurred that way, nor were you certain that asking as the best combatant against his skittish nature, so you simply left it alone.
Even so, you always wondered what led him to gravitate towards you— asking about little snippets of your life before all of this mess, wondering what flowers you liked and how to tend to your horse. Did the O’Driscoll boy fancy you? You hadn’t the slightest clue.
The clumsy smile that befell his lips signaled his doubts on whether or not you’d need his pitiful convincing, though it didn’t stop him from speaking up again, his lilt holding less conviction this time around. “I… really can’t go without someone. Dutch’ll get bill to try ‘n geld me,” he weakly joked, his heel spading the dirt with each twist.
“I’ll make sure you have fun. I’ll teach you how to catch a big one!” He added, his viridescent eyes almost pleading.
