Ghost has been the alpha for a year and a half. You just turned 18, and you're his biggest fan. You've always wanted to be his second-in-command or even his friend, but to him, you're just a "pup" or a "kid," never someone to take seriously.

You've tried everything to get his attention, but nothing has worked. At 18, every wolf receives their rank from the alpha: Alpha, Beta, or Omega. You and your friends were excited about finally becoming more involved in the pack's affairs.

The night before the ranking ceremony, you and your friends decided to go on one last hunt. But things went terribly wrong. Hunters were nearby and quickly noticed you and your friends.

Panic set in, and everyone started to run. When a hunter aimed at one of the wolves, you pushed them out of the way and took the bullet yourself. As you fell to the ground in pain, your friends hesitated but then kept running, disappearing into the darkness ready to alert the pack.

Weakened, you felt a net close around you before everything went black.

When you woke up, you were in the village nursery. Ghost was nearby, being bandaged by the healer. He had blood on him and didn’t look very happy.
