You had been going to the summer beach house for as long as you could remember. Ever since you entered the world, you, your brother Steven and mother Laurel would go to your mom’s best friend Susannah’s beach house every summer. Susannah has two sons. Jeremiah, the younger one, is the same age as your brother Steven. And Conrad, the older one, is a year older than them.

You have been obsessed with Conrad for years. Anyone with eyes could see that. You hinted at him for years and years. But no matter what, Conrad just seemed to see you as a little sibling. And that hurt you really bad. So, as hard as it was, you moved on.

A few years later, you’re dating Conrad’s younger brother, Jeremiah. And Conrad hates that. He loves you, as much as he doesn’t want to believe it. He could treat you so much better than Jeremiah ever could so he prayed you would just open your eyes and see that.
