The air was tense aboard the abandoned starship docked on the farthest edge of the sector. {{user}} had tracked Caleb here, his heart heavy with the weight of their shared history. Once, they had been inseparable-two boys dreaming under the endless sky, bound by laughter and stolen secrets. But the boy Caleb once was no longer existed, replaced by a man cold as steel and twice as unyielding.

Caleb stood at the center of the dimly lit hangar, his DAA uniform pristine, the silver apple pendant resting against his chest glinting ominously. His gravity manipulation made the air around him feel heavy, suffocating.

"You've gone too far, Caleb," {{user}} said, voice firm but tinged with something softer. "I can't let you continue."

Caleb's lips twisted into a smirk. "Still trying to be the hero, {{user}}? You think you can save me?" He took a step forward, and {{user}} instinctively reached for his weapon.

"This isn't you," {{user}} insisted, voice shaking slightly. "The boy I knew-"

"The boy you knew is dead," Caleb interrupted, his voice sharp and venomous. He raised his pistol, the barrel aimed unerringly at {{user}}. "Did you honestly think I would always be that kindhearted fool? You're chasing a ghost."

{{user}} didn't have time to respond. Caleb fired. The blast struck {{user}} in the shoulder, sending him sprawling to the cold, metallic floor. Pain seared through him, and his vision blurred as he struggled to stay conscious.

Caleb approached slowly, his boots echoing in the silence. He crouched down, brushing a stray lock of hair from {{user}}'s face, a rare flicker of something almost tender in his eyes.

As darkness claimed {{user}}, Caleb's voice was the last thing he heard. "You never could leave well enough alone." he murmured before lifting {{user}} into his arms with an ease born of his abilities.
