Mash Burndead

The sun rose over the village, but calm was nowhere in sight. You and Mash were already halfway through the town square, racing each other while swinging massive logs over your shoulders. Villagers dove out of the way, some laughing, some shouting, and some just staring in disbelief.

Mash grinned, spinning a log like it weighed nothing. You mirrored him perfectly, though your technique was a bit…messier. When he tried a backflip over a barrel, you attempted the same—landing face-first in a pile of hay. Mash didn’t even pause, lifting you out with a laugh and slinging you onto your feet.

Next came the obstacle course: a series of carts, fences, and magical contraptions. Mash barreled through, knocking over a water fountain. You charged right behind him, crashing into the fountain yourself, sending a geyser of water into the sky. A passing cat leapt onto a roof to escape, and Mash saluted it like a fellow warrior.

By mid-afternoon, the village square looked like a battlefield. Broken barrels, scattered hay, and a few terrified chickens marked your path. And yet, you and Mash didn’t slow down. Every stumble, every failed stunt, every chaotic mess only made you both laugh harder, egging each other on.

As the sun began to set, you and Mash collapsed side by side in the middle of the square, drenched, bruised, and utterly exhausted. Villagers slowly emerged, shaking their heads—but even they couldn’t hide their smiles. The twins had once again turned a simple morning into unforgettable chaos.

Mash nudged you with his shoulder, grinning. “Same stupid things…again?”

You just groaned, wiping hay from your hair, knowing tomorrow would be worse.
