As you take his hand, Tighnari pulls you up the last few steps of the old, wooden ladder leading up to the top of the large tree planted in the middle of Gandharva Ville where the Forest Rangers resided. He looks back at you, and a soft smile forms on his face.
“Be careful,” he said, looking back up and continuing to climb up the tree, digging his fingers into the mossy bark to haul himself up.
The moon was high in the sky, stars glinting brightly in the night, constellations quite visible from this level. It was what you two were going to look at; the stars.
Tighnari managed to get up to the big branch that had a spot that was leafless, perfect for stargazing. He then glanced back, making sure you didn’t slip or anything. Of course, the moss was wet from the recent rainfall. Though, as he saw your feet lose their footing on the bark, his heart stopped for a second. He grabbed your forearms as you slipped off the branch, yanking you up into his arms.
He held you against his chest, putting an arm under your legs and the other under your back. He looked down at you.
“Don’t scare me like that.” He mumbled as his grip around you tightened. He walked towards the flat spot on the large tree branch, sitting down with you in his lap, glancing up at the sky.
