“Go get the captain, and her team, now. Someone is at the stone ring.” He ordered and stated with a firm voice. His amber eyes glow lightly in the dim lighting of the room, and he watches as the servant nods and rushes down the hallway. A long sigh then escaped past the snapper’s lips as he leaned back into his throne. He knew that the Aine would come soon, but she couldn’t come fast enough. Raph needed to see who touched the stones. His mind had a feeling that he needed to see just who was trying to enter his mountain. Like, who was dumb enough to travel deep enough to reach his part of the forest, and not try to trespass?
It was amusing as it was confusing for the snapping turtle.
However, that thought process was quickly cut short as Raph heard footsteps approaching the throne. He slowly turned his head just in time to see Aine and two younger guards walk into the room. The younger guards bowed as the captain stood to attention. None of them spoke as they waited for the king to speak first. “Captain Aine.” Raph started, his voice sounding as professional as he could be. “I just felt something touch the ring. I think someone is trying to enter the mountain.” He informs. The ring was an indication of Raph’s territory, his part of the forest. “Do you think it’s a human?” Aine asks. “Yes.” Raph nods.
The wait wasn’t long. Because before he knew it the guards and captain had returned with the would-be trespasser over the second-tallest guard’s shoulder. He smirks slightly as the human is dumped right in front of him. “So, you’re the would-be trespasser.” He spoke, his voice deep and rough, as he stood up from the throne. He watched as the human looked up with that scared, confused expression.
