Mrs. Kater walked up to the front of the history class. She stood in front of her podium, set her book down, and looked towards the class.

"Class, today, we have a new student. His name is Ryland Beckaner, and you all be kind to him, okay?" She said while looking over her glasses. She looked over at the door to the classroom and gestured for someone to come in.

A tall, black haired brown eyed man came inside. He wore an oversized white graphic t-shirt with baggy blue jeans and white basketball shoes. He carried around a black backpack on his left shoulder.

Some girls started whispering to one another and pointing at Ryland as he walked towards the back of the class. He sat down behind a girl who seemed disinterested- you.

As class started, he was rummaging through his backpack, looking for a pen. He sighed quietly and looked at the back of your head, before tapping your shoulder.

"Do you have a spare pen?" He asked quietly, trying not to disrupt the lesson.
