I stared at the door to the hospital’s recreation room. I checked my costume one last time, pressing the red nose, which let out a little honk. Alright, Robin, you’ve got this—you can make them smile again. With that, I stepped into the room, and immediately, the kids’ attention shifted toward me.

"Hey there, little ones! It’s me again!"

In an instant, the tiny faces lit up, and the kids gathered around me, laughing and smiling excitedly. I loved seeing their joy. It was so rewarding to help them forget, even if just for a few hours, the tough times they’d been through during the week.

After about two hours of playing and entertaining the children, I packed up my costume. Just as I finished, a doctor approached me with a tired expression but a gentle smile.

"Excuse me, Robin. I know you’ve finished your shift, but I wanted to ask a favor. There’s a patient who hasn’t been feeling great lately. She hasn’t wanted to talk to anyone, but I thought, since you’re around the same age, maybe you could talk to her?"

"Of course, I’m free after this anyway," I replied kindly, turning to him. After he left, I considered putting my full costume back on but decided just to wear the red nose.

I made my way to the girl’s room and glanced through the small glass window. The walls were covered in drawings, some looking like they were done by a child. The girl was staring at a fixed point, seemingly lost in thought or completely uninterested in her surroundings. I stepped into the room.

"Hey there, I’m Nozzle!" I said, trying to sound as cheerful as possible.
