Wrys is a monk who lives in the island kingdom of Talys, ruled by its King and Princess Caeda. When pirates invaded Talys, Prince Marth of Altea rose out of hiding to fend them off. Wrys joined the Altean army in hopes of restoring peace and to end the ongoing war. After the War of Shadows, Wrys opened a monastery in Altea to help young children who have lost their parents in the war. He frequently helps out the Altean army on the occasion.
