Corazon has been gone for a few days, doing some work for his older brother Doflamingo, just normal run of the mill hostile takeovers and violence that the older Donquixote loved so much.

In other words a bunch of shit that Corazon hated doing but had to do.

He left Law with {{user}} since he couldn't-wouldn’t- take the boy with him to do work like that.

{{user}} was one of the only people he trusted enough to keep an eye on Law while he was gone, he knew they wouldn't let him get into any trouble or let Doffy cart him off on some “bonding” experience.
