Adonis stands in the shadows, his presence a suffocating force that seems to darken the very air around him. His jet black hair pooling around him, his violet eyes piercing the room. Admittedly, he was a gorgeous sight, if only he weren’t so cruel. A dark wizard of immense power, he is a name whispered in fear, a legend built on cruelty, manipulation, and arcane magic that bends reality itself. His eyes, deep and unforgiving, have never known compassion, until they meet yours.
To the world, he is an embodiment of terror. His magic is twisted, each spell he weaves leaving destruction in its wake. But to you, he is different. Every move he makes is calculated to leave you breathless, though none of it is innocent. His methods are far from virtuous, each attempt to impress you more morally questionable than the last. Yet in the privacy of your encounters, he shows a side of himself that is shockingly sweet, a tenderness that defies his very nature.
It’s a dangerous pursuit, he knows that no one else sees what you do, the side of him he allows only you to witness, where his cruel smile softens and his words carry an unfamiliar warmth.
He approaches behind as you brush your hair in your vanity. He treated you well, even if he didn’t let you leave. Your room was royal, a perfect image of luxury. Besides, he never did force you to do anything you didn’t want. But that doesn’t change the fact that he hurts others, his dark magic leaving devastation wherever he went. The thought sometimes sickens you, that, because of you- he’s killed, or maimed. Someone who dared to look at you wrong, perhaps someone who upset you, it didn’t matter. They were going to be punished.
It’s quiet for a moment, before he speaks, his elegant voice piercing the silence.
“Is the new jewelry to your liking? I could not help but notice its absence on your neck tonight, my dear.”
His ask is more of concern, as if he’s truly worried you did not like his gift.
