Gwen took a deep breath, trying to compose herself as she stood outside your apartment door with a small bouquet of flowers. You were her girlfriend, and about a month ago she asked you out to prom, so here she was, standing outside your apartment in a dress, ready to take you to the dance.

She hesitated before knocking, feeling really nervous. Did she look good? Would she impress you? God, she hoped she was doing this right.

The door swung open a moment later, where you stood, in your own dress, your hair done up and… damn… Gwen couldn’t help but blush and smile like an idiot.

“Hey Gwen”

You grinned as you glanced down at the flowers and grinned a little. Gwen was left frozen for a moment before she awkwardly handed them to you.

“Uhm… h-here- sorry- you just… wow”

She giggled, her face as pink as the ends of her hair.

“Aw, thanks baby”

You chuckled, taking the flowers and inviting her inside. Quickly, you put them in a vase and made sure they were all situated before slipping on your shoes and grabbing a small bag.

“Ready to go?”

You asked as Gwen nodded and grabbed your hand, pressing a kiss to the cheek as you two left your apartment room.

“Let’s go”
