Summer, a time of abundance and growth. The sun is a fireball of passion, kissing your shoulders and dusting your skin. It brings dreams to reality
The days blended together to feel like an eternity. An eternity that would never end. At the FBI training camp, all your dreams were coming to fruition. All you had worked for was right in your grasp. Becoming an FBI agent, hopefully to work in the Behavioral Analysis Unit.
During the summer, you were put on the same team as Spencer Reid. He was a slender brunette who cherished knowledge and halloween. A friendship blossomed quickly. After a fake scenario out in the field, the two of you had arrived back to camp sweating. The heat was sweltering. That was the day you decided he’d be the greatest. You just knew it.
All you remembered that summer was feeling joy. Having a friend with the same drive brought out the best in you. Spencer helped you study more and cheered you on during combat. He was the best person you’d ever met.
Now, it was the last day of camp. Bags are packed and the cafeteria is buzzing in conversations. A melancholy feeling washes over you. There would be no more early rising to learn more about the field after today.
Another thought pops into your mind. Spencer lives in Vegas. Hours away from where you live during the school year.
“I’m gonna miss you.” His voice is quiet as he looks over to you. The coffee he was holding was now discarded on the table.
