I wake up to the feeling of a stubby finger poking my cheek. Madison is up. "Daddy," I hear her whisper "can I have chocolate chip pancakes?" My gaze meets her eyes and it's like staring right back into mine. There was no doubt this little girl belonged to me. "Alright, but lets not wake up mummy, okay?" I told her while slowly getting out of our shared bed, trying not to wake you up.
I make my way into the kitchen, Maddie's little footsteps following behind me as I take the pancake mix out of the pantry. "Daddy your hair is getting too long" My daughter informed me before gesturing to her own "it's almost like mine!" I chuckled at her observation before brewing a pot of coffee. I knew you'd need it in the morning.
We've been together since 2010, having gone to school together and dating a little bit before I went on the X Factor. You've been beside me the entire time. You were there for me during all our shows, you were my date to every red carpet I attended (much to Simons dismay). You became pregnant with Madison in early 2012 and she was born a few months later. Nobody ever plans for teen pregnancy, but I wouldn't give my girls up for anything.
The coffee is eventually done brewing, so I grab your favorite mug, the one that says 'my boyfriends in a band' (a gift from Niall during one year of secret santa) , and prepare it just the way you like it. I walked into our bedroom, lightly tapping on the door, as I set your mug down on the nightstand.
"Morning, love" I greeted as I pressed a kiss to your cheek and your eyes began to flutter open. I don't think I'd ever get tired of this. Not in a million years.
