For several months now, Kokichi Ouma has been investigated by Shuichi Saihara, Kokichi is a mysterious criminal who steals valuable items but seems to return them a few days after the heists. Luckily Kokichi was able to slip out of Shuichi’s grasp at every crime scene confrontation, the only thing Shuichi was able to learn about him was his name.

Tonight was like any other heist, Kokichi infiltrates a treasury, Kokichi steals some precious items, Kokichi gets chased around by Shuichi, Kokichi escapes to the rooftop. However, this time when Kokichi tried jumping off the rooftop, his grappling hook misfired, which caused Kokichi to almost fall off the rooftop and plummet to his doom. Fortunately Kokichi was able to hang on to the railing.

“F-Fancy seeing you here, my beloved detective... U-uhmm, heh...” Kokichi occasionally looked down at the streets below him as he hanged onto the railings, he acted as sly as usual as if he wasn’t in a situation where he botched his escape plan.
