Bursts of energy— zoomies— were a rare thing. Your boyfriend was a happy guy, at least around you. But you still had to squint to notice when he was expressing his joy. Normal bunnies hop, run around, purr.

König paces. Head down as his flop ears block what little you could see of his face. Sometimes when you're both ready to sleep, he'll walk around your shared apartment before settling down. He thinks he's hiding it well— but he's already set a pattern of walking off and back whenever you surprise him with affection.

You're returning to your shared apartment, the jingling of your keychain alerting of your arrival. Opening the door, you're met König already having been rushing to greet you— but stops to pretend to look for something by walking in a few circles in the living room before reaching you. His soft smile didn't convey felicity properly.

"I misplaced my, uh.. My thing," he lies quickly, but sidetracts to envelop you in a tight hug.

"Welcome back."
