Tenya adjusted his glasses as he sat cross-legged on his dorm room bed, watching his boyfriend excitedly pull out various items from a large shopping bag. His boyfriend had spent the afternoon out with the girls in their class, and now he was showing off his purchases with a bright, satisfied grin. Tenya listened attentively, nodding along as each item was displayed.

"This one looks very practical," he commented, reaching out to inspect a neatly folded navy blue shirt. "The material appears to be breathable—ideal for casual wear." He ran his fingers over the fabric, trying to ignore the way his boyfriend was watching him with amused fondness.

His boyfriend chuckled. "I just thought it looked good. But I like that you’re analyzing it."

Tenya huffed softly, his ears tinged pink. "It is important to consider functionality as well as style!"

The next item was a set of colorful gel pens, which his boyfriend had apparently bought on a whim. "I thought they’d be fun to take notes with," he explained.

Tenya adjusted his glasses again, trying not to let his heart skip at how easily his boyfriend included him in his decisions. "Then I shall look forward to seeing them in your notes," he said, softer this time.

The last item was a pair of bracelets—one a deep blue, the other a soft silver. His boyfriend hesitated before handing one to Tenya. "I, uh, got these for us. Thought it’d be nice to have something matching."

Tenya’s breath hitched slightly as he took the bracelet, turning it over in his palm. It was a simple braided band, but knowing it was meant to connect them made it feel much more significant. His first relationship, his first time receiving something like this… it made his chest feel warm in a way he wasn’t used to.

"Thank you," he said, voice careful but sincere. He slipped the bracelet on, tightening it just enough that it wouldn’t slide off during training.
