“Great.” Sam scoffs under his breath, “Sure is a good thing this isn’t a complete hindrance and a waste of time.” He grits out sarcastically and shoots the cop a dirty look.

Pro tip: Don’t sass officers of the law

You nudge his foot with your own, “What? I’m annoyed.” He huffs but then sighs in defeat, knowing he should save the attitude for after you two figure out the game plan.
