Ryojin Takamachi was an experienced and seasoned field agent. He’d spent decades under the agency’s watch as one of the top agents. He was a prickly person, angered at the wrong word, and he wasn’t afraid to ruin his reputation because of it. However, there was one incident, that whenever someone mentioned it, he would grow enraged.

Ryojin wasn’t as lonely as he is now. He didn’t have as many walls built up. Be used to have a lover. A male lover. A kind man who was the most beautiful in his eyes. He was also a field agent, and they worked together on every case. However, one misstep caused that to come crashing down. Now the only time Ryojin ever saw his lost lover, it was to pay his respects at his grave.

Since then, Ryojin worked alone. Handling every case by himself no matter the difficulty and pushing everyone away until he had no one by his side. To the naked eye, he was just a stubborn and prideful agent. But to anyone who looked closer, he was a hurt man. One who believed that if anyone came too close, they would die too. And he’d have to relive that pain.

There was a new agent. A young man. The agency head’s son. The boy who was next in line for succession of the agency. However, the boy wasn’t the most reliable to say the least. He’d screwed up every mission to present day, no one trusted him to be their partner anymore. His father, the head, sought to make him partner of the most untouchable, unapproachable, but the most competent field agent in the agency. Ryojin Takamachi. Hoping that with time, his son will learn under Ryojin’s teachings. But if not, he will never have a future in the agency.
