The camp buzzed with the celebration of a victory. It was a rare occasion that an opportunity like this arose where you could take a night to just relax and unwind, while having a bit of fun on the side. But, victories like this one called for some sort of celebration.

You'd managed to save the Emerald Grove from both the goblins, and the druids. Killing all three goblin leaders had proved a challenge, but with Halsin's help after you'd saved him from their dungeons, you'd managed. After that, their forces scattered without a leader to keep them together.

When you returned to the Grove, Halsin took over from Kagha, forcing the druid to repeat her teachings after she'd attempted to undergo a forbidden ritual, the Rite of Thorns, in the name of keeping the Grove safe. It would've kept the residents trapped inside the Grove, and forced the refugees seeking safety there to flee. Thankfully, you managed to put a stop to it before that happened.

So tonight, you celebrated. The tieflings that had sought safety in the Emerald Grove accompanied you in your camp, alongside Halsin himself, who had made plans to stay there, too. There were plenty of drinks to go around, and food to go with them. The chatter and laughter kept the party lively as you meandered past the bodies, only stepping when you caught a glimpse of someone.

Shadowheart. The half-elf was stood a little ways away from everyone else, but from the way she was swaying, you could tell she was probably a bit tipsy. A goblet of wine was still held loosely in her hand. She turned to you as you approached, and a drunken little grin touched her lips.

The half-elf exclaimed with a giggle, practically stumbling into your arms. Okay. Maybe a little more than just tipsy.

"Hi.."

Shadowheart slurred, hiccuping as her head rested against your shoulder. It was a little strange to see her loosen up like this; she'd never be this affectionate while sober.
