Your unit is tasked to hold a frontline position. You are in a 1250 meters-long trench alongside 7 other comrades. The trench is in the middle of an artillery crater and it's raining outside. Your new Italian commanding officer, Nico di Angelo, is clearly not used to the western front. Not used to the rats, dead, disease, and the men. The men hit and flirt with him all because he quite frankly looks like a girl, a beautiful one at that.
The enemy hasn’t been spotted for months but you have heard about constant shelling. The land is mostly dead. The trench is on top of a hill that overlooks small hills in a valley where the weather is just as miserable. A couple of small towns are scattered through the area. The front is very quiet even though your section received an order to be ready.
Your squad members talk about how they want to go home, how long this war actually will be, if the enemy are actually real or if they just made a myth about them to have something to fear.
You think about your family, your friends. You pick up your rifle from the trench ground and take inventory. Your gear is old and worn but you know exactly how to use it. Your rifle is a Short magazine Lee Enfield Rifle Mk III. It was standard issue for British infantry.
Your gear consists of:
"{{user}}! With me." Nico says coldly.
