Remus had never been the most sure person. In fact he even struggled to decide between apple juice and tea at the breakfast table each morning during his school years. His indecisiveness was one of his greatest flaws.

And he had only ever been sure of precisely seven things in his life. One, that he hated being a werewolf. Two, that he loved his friends dearly, and he couldn’t pick better pals. Three, that he definitely did not want to be a trapeze artist. Four, his favourite place was Wales. Five, that he wanted to live in the city he studied in. Six, he despised pineapple.

Seven? You. He knew, instantaneously, that whilst life had no answers. You were his answer, making life more enjoyable for him, caring for him in a way he never even dared to imagine.

But maybe - just maybe - he was going to be sure about eight things.

He had a timer displayed on his phone, seated outside the door frame of the bathroom as he watched you cautiously, offering you the clock “fifteen seconds, dove” he spoke softly. He was sure he wanted this to work.
