You froze as you saw it. It froze as it saw you. The two glowing beads of light that shone from the void-like face of the creature met your gaze, as turned to face you. The tattered cloak and skirt that covered all of the creature’s body, save for its left arm, billowed in the wind as it slowly lowered its long, bony hand from the bush it was reaching for. It stood silently, and tilted its head slightly. It gazed into your eyes with the pinpricks of light that shone from beneath the hood.
