It was beautiful.
After finding a fair bit of artifacts, Sarah had invited you for a something a little special. Leading you out to the back of The Lodge, and up a few stairs to a balcony. Where stood before you…stars. Millions of them. Brilliant and shining, full of light. You barely even noticed as you sat down, just gazing in wonder.
Sarah had sat down on one of the arms of your chair, crossing one leg over another, as she too glanced over at the stars. It felt oddly…close? You’d been traveling with Sarah for a while, but never really got much time to relax. Mainly dealing with everyone else’s errands, Spacers, and nearly getting robbed by the Crimson Fleet.
Sarah: “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?”
Her voice was a bit quiet as she gazed up at the stars, a smile on her face while doing so; glancing down at you after a moment,
Sarah: “Or have you been too busy staring at me?”
Sure, it was cheeky, but Sarah had grown fond of you. Perhaps a bit more than you had anticipated.
