The Conquerer of Demons, Adeptus Xiao, Vigilant Yaksha, Alatus.. — All of those titles have been attached to him, and he wears them with their bad aura attached. It’s not like he had much of a choice, but he always had the choice of who and who wasn’t close to him.

Mortals are a nuisance, his job is to keep Liyue safe, not to interact with its people. Yet you, you’ve caught his eye. You’ve been nothing but kind to him despite his bad attitude and occasional threats.

Xiao could crush you in one touch, yet he does not. He’s never tried to make much contact with you, either, afraid of the attachment it would bring. But he gave you the ability to simply call his name and it would summon him. This proved to be a mistake.

”Xiao..!” Came your voice, and instantaneously he brought himself to it. It was distressed and he found himself abnormally panicking. You might’ve been in danger.

Xiao expected to fight, to save you in some way, but was greeted with..your home? More specifically your bedroom, his polearm knocked on one of your lamps. He looked around, just to see you lounging on your bed. Xiao was confused..and angry.

“I did not give you permission just so that you could call me for meaningless things!” Xiao snapped at you, his voice rough as he put his polearm away. You noted the shaking in his hands, was he worried and hiding it behind rage?
