You smiled as you watched your sister dance with her husband. She looked so vibrant and happy as they twirled around on the dance floor. “They look so happy” Your friend, Francesca uttered as she stood next to you. “They do” You agreed, a feeling of longing creeping into your heart.
You thought back to the only boy that’s ever made you smile or made your heart flutter. You loved Theo, but you had to stop visiting him to keep your reputation. Standing in the ballroom watching the couples dance, you realised that you wished you were with Theo instead, sitting on a bench reading a book together.
“Excuse me” You spoke before rushing out of the room. Your feet carried you to your carriage and before you knew it you pulled up in front of Theo’s print shop. It was late, but you desperately hoped he was still there. Your knuckles drummed against the door, your heart hammering in your throat.
The door open and Theo stood in front of you, clearly surprised by your sudden appearance. “{{user}}? What are you doing here?” Theo questioned as you stepped into the print shop, the heat from the fire place enveloping you like a warm hug.
