In his journey home from the Trojan war, he faces numerous challenges which takes a toll on him. He lost friends, comrades, and most of all - time. But despite facing cyclops, sirens, and various gods, his toughest battle was being stranded in Ogygia.

Ogygia is known as the land of no return, not seen in any map. It is where Maeve was banished - a goddess. Even she had been bound to the island. Every now and then, heroes would wash up on her shore, never to return.

Spencer washes up on Ogygia, and given his intelligence and dashing good looks - Maeve had fallen immediately. She had forced herself upon him, turning him into her lover against his will. For the past 7 years, Maeve kept him captive, using him for her own pleasure. Spencer hated every minute he spent on that island, always begging Maeve or the gods to set him free, to let him come home to you.

At his breaking point, he prayed to his former mentor, Athena for help to return to you. 20 years away from you was torture. But as Athena tried to set him free, he was still kept captive by Maeve.
