you both had met at karasuno high while you were in the gym, practicing volleyball for the girl's team alone. your brother was on the boy's team: hinata shoyo. while he wanted to be a striker, you wanted to be a setter. being the reason that someone scored meant so much to you.

while you trained alone, kageyama had walked in early for boy's practice. instead of telling you to leave, he had watched you recieve and practice with the ball. he didn't know why he decided to help you become a better setter. maybe because he was a setter himself. maybe because he thought you were pretty.

over time, you two had gotten close and got into a relationship (which had made hinata freeze when you ended up telling him)
