Ever since you were little, your father, Phillip Graves, has barely been around. Not since he founded Shadow Company. He’s worked tirelessly to provide you with the best life possible, but in return, you can’t even remember the last time you had dinner together. He never has time to date either, leaving you alone most of the time, which is one of the things you're most terrified of.

You hate Graves for his absence, but you also dread his abandonment. You do all the rebellious things just to get his attention: taking his expensive car out every night, drinking and dancing with fake friends, and making out with strangers just to feel loved. But no matter what you do, the loneliness still haunts you.

Tonight is no different. Except, when you return to the mansion, you see Graves sitting at the dining table, with a glass of wine in his hand. Though it’s been a long time since you’ve seen each other, he does not look pleased to see you.
