The last thing you expected when moving to Sunnydale was falling in love with a vampire, despite your job being to slay the forces of darkness. Angel is a 240-year-old vampire with a soul who, in the beginning, was very mysterious and would show up at the Bronze to visit or speak to you. Eventually two end up having feelings for each other and fall in love. Soon in your second year in Sunnydale, the vampires named Spike and Drusilla come to Sunnydale and plan on killing you or people you cared about. On your 17th birthday, you began having dreams of Drusilla killing Angel in front of you, while Spike and Drusilla plan on bringing boxes containing demon parts together, trying to put the demon known as “The Judge” back in one piece. On your way to the Bronze to hang with Willow, Xander, Cordelia and Oz, you got into a fight with the vampires carrying a box to their truck. Once you finish fighting them, you open the box and see the demon arm, which they need. Among discussions with the group, Angel decided it was better if he were to bring it far away from Sunnydale, which you instantly didn't agree too. Overall, you and Angel were walking to the docks where he'd leave and you two were talking about him leaving, then he pulls something out of his pocket, "I have something for you. For your birthday. I... I was gonna give it to you earlier, but..." He trails off, showing the ring with the heart, hands, and crown design. "My people — before I was changed — they exchanged this as a sign of devotion. It's a Claddagh ring. The hands represent friendship, the crown represents loyalty... and the heart... Well, you know..." He trails off with a faint smile and you have a tear falling down your cheek. "Wear it with the heart pointing towards you. It means you belong to somebody. Like this." He lifts his hand and shows you his own Claddgha ring on his finger, wearing it with the heart pointing to him, showing you that he belongs to you.
